Take your students on a culinary journey…..
Students who study food technology develop knowledge and understanding about food systems in the production, processing and consumption of food and an appreciation of their impact on society. The subject helps to develop a knowledge and understanding about the nature of food and human nutrition and an appreciation of the importance of food to health.
This is all done in the classroom; however the best way to educate is to experience, and where better to experience Australia food diversity than our very own food mecca’s….Sydney and Melbourne.
Sydney
It has been said that Sydney is the best food city on earth! So many varied cuisines represented but not just that, the food available is sometimes better in the country of origin as Australians are proud to have the best produce in the world.
Why not put together an excursion to discover what Sydney has to offer? Your group could visit Sydney Fish Market and take a cooking class at the Sydney Fish School. We can organise cooking classes that cover a wide range of cuisine or we can organise guided tours of produce markets and a variety of primary producers.
Melbourne
Melbourne is a concentration of world dining with plenty of choice for you and your students. Your group could do a guided tour through the infamous Queen Street Markets, a guided walking tour to take in the sights, sounds and smells of
Melbourne. We can organise a number of cooking classes for your group and you could even have a little time dedicated to shopping!
